YOUR FILES. YOUR CHOICES.

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes the current free Printumi tools. Your selected images and PDFs are processed in your browser; the application does not upload them to a file-processing server.

Operated by Printumi. For support or privacy requests, use our Contact form.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy is intended for Printumi at printumi.com.

Printumi is the name of a free print preparation toolbox. This policy covers its calculator, image, batch, label, poster, PDF and paperback-planning pages, including the original workbench. It explains which information the application uses, where that information is processed and the controls available to you.

Printumi operates these tools and is responsible for the personal information it receives through this service. You can reach us through our Contact form.

2. Information used by the tools

Files you select. Your browser reads the image or PDF files you choose, including their contents, names, sizes and information needed to interpret their format. Files can themselves contain personal information, embedded text or metadata. The file selector does not give the application permission to browse arbitrary folders or read files you have not selected.

Settings and results. Print dimensions, pixel counts, crop coordinates, paper choices, quantities, page selections and similar settings are used to calculate and prepare your output. Filenames, dimensions and errors can appear in previews and batch manifests.

Technical web requests. Loading a hosted page sends ordinary connection information to the host. This may include an IP address, request time, requested path, browser information, referrer where supplied, response status and security-related details. Whether these are logged, and for how long, depends on the hosting configuration. The current tools do not send selected file bytes, filenames, crop settings or document content with these requests.

Contact-form messages. Submitting our Contact form sends your name, reply email address, selected topic, message and a random submission reference to Printumi’s contact service. Unlike files selected in the print tools, these fields leave your device. The service also receives ordinary connection information and uses a daily-changing hash of your IP address to limit repeated submissions. This hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous. No attachments are accepted; please do not paste sensitive documents or private download links.

Information not requested. There is no registration, login, payment, newsletter or automated error-reporting service in this build. We do not ask for payment details, a postal address, camera, microphone, contacts or location access. The application has no advertising or audience-analytics integration.

3. What happens when you use a tool

Calculations, image decoding, cropping, rendering, PDF composition and ZIP packaging happen on your device, in the browser. Selecting a file does not upload it to Printumi or to a library provider. There is no server-side file-processing endpoint. The separate Contact form sends only the fields you explicitly submit; it does not collect images or PDFs selected in the tools.

PDF previews display static page content. The preview does not execute document scripts, follow links inside a PDF or retrieve remote content referenced by the document. PDF exports retain static text and vectors while omitting interactive forms, annotations, document actions, signatures and attachments. This is a document-format feature, not a guarantee that every piece of identifying information has been removed.

Files are not submitted by the application to an AI service or used by it to train a model. No user profiles, cross-site identifiers or decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are generated by the tools.

4. Downloads, clipboard and printing

Downloads are created from locally generated data. They can reproduce your artwork, PDF text or identifying details. A batch ZIP includes filenames and a specifications/status manifest. Do not assume an export is anonymous or that all source metadata has been removed.

“Copy measurements” writes the displayed measurements to your clipboard when you choose that action. The application does not read your existing clipboard contents. If copying is unavailable, it offers text you can copy yourself.

Printing and downloads use your browser and operating system. Print queues, destination folders, browser history, clipboard history and cloud-synced folders may retain information under their own settings. Clearing an image in Printumi does not delete its original file, an earlier download, a printed copy or a copy stored by another application.

5. Purposes and applicable legal grounds

The application uses selected files and settings only to perform the local operation you request and show its result or an error. Providing a file is optional, although tools that operate on files cannot produce the requested result without one.

We use technical connection information to deliver and protect the website, and voluntary contact messages to respond to requests, investigate problems and handle privacy requests. Where applicable, our legitimate interests are providing the requested service, responding to correspondence and preventing abuse. Legal obligations may also require handling or retaining a request. Contact messages are not added to a marketing list.

This policy does not obtain consent by itself. Using the free tools is not agreement to future marketing, tracking, paid plans or unrelated use of your files. If a future optional feature requires consent, that choice must be offered separately before the processing begins.

6. Where information is kept and for how long

7. Service providers, sharing and international access

The current application loads its scripts, PDF worker, fonts and decoding resources from the same host as the website. Its bundled open-source libraries do not require a runtime third-party CDN. Their publishers do not receive your selected files merely because their libraries are used.

Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Cloudflare processes connection and security information to deliver and protect it. We have not enabled application access-log exports or audience analytics. Cloudflare may retain operational or security data under its own policies; we do not set a universal retention period for those provider records. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Our contact service uses Cloudflare Workers and D1 to receive and store submitted messages, and Cloudflare Email Service to notify a private Google-hosted support inbox. These providers process correspondence and related technical information; they do not receive files merely selected in our print tools. Their infrastructure may process information outside your country. Provider processing and available transfer safeguards are described in Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum and Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not promise country-specific data residency.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or give advertisers access to selected files in this build. No advertising partners are integrated. If an operator receives a valid legal demand, it can only disclose information it actually holds and is legally required to provide; this application provides no server copy of your selected documents.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The application does not set cookies, keep a localStorage or sessionStorage history, create an IndexedDB document store, or install a service worker. It does not use tracking pixels or device fingerprinting for advertising or audience measurement. File processing and temporary rendering still use browser memory and device capabilities.

See the Cookie Policy for the technology inventory, ordinary browser caching and your browser controls.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can use the dimension calculators without selecting a file; choose only the files needed for a job; cancel processing; clear selected files; close the page; and remove downloaded files through your device. Cancellation stops after the current processing step and does not remove earlier downloads.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection or withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis. These rights are subject to their legal conditions and concern information an operator actually holds. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete a file that only exists on your device.

Send privacy requests through our Contact form, using the Privacy request topic and only the information necessary to locate any relevant record. Do not send source documents or identity documents unless specifically needed and an appropriate channel has been agreed. We follow applicable response deadlines.

You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority where applicable, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. This policy does not limit those rights or require contacting us before approaching an authority.

10. Security and your device

Local processing reduces the need to transmit documents, and input validation and task limits help the browser handle files. It is not a promise of absolute security. Browser extensions, compromised devices, shared computer accounts, synchronization tools and printers can affect confidentiality outside the application’s control.

Use an up-to-date browser, keep sensitive outputs in an appropriate location, and avoid sharing documents through channels you do not trust. The public website uses HTTPS. Access to contact records and notification settings is restricted to the operator’s hosting account.

11. Children and use by others

Printumi is a general-purpose creator tool and is not directed at children under 13. This build has no accounts or collection form requesting age or other children’s details. Parents or guardians should supervise use where appropriate. Do not supply information about another person without an appropriate reason and permission or other authority where required.

12. External websites

Some guides link to external specifications, such as Amazon KDP. Those sites have their own privacy and cookie practices. They receive a web request when you follow the link; Printumi does not send your selected artwork or PDFs to them. Merely displaying a text link does not embed that site’s tracking code.

13. Changes to this policy

The date at the top identifies this version. If hosting, contact processing, analytics, advertising or paid features change, the notice must be updated to describe the actual changes before they take effect. Material changes should be brought to visitors’ attention, and consent obtained first where required. Publishing this policy alone does not activate any service.
